The Desert Sun ran this article on February 17, 1996. The article was based on an interview with our Founder Dan Zahlis and one of his indirect reports, Art Sanchez. The interview was requested by "The Desert Sun" after learning about what seemed like impossible results within the California Workers' Compensation System. Zahlis and Sanchez were able to reduce workers' compensation costs at the Indio California facility from $385,000 per year to a sustainable $30,000 per year. They achieved these results by implementing proactive workers' compensation practices, aggressive system monitoring, and elimination of the company's long standing practice of using OSHA statistics as the key program measurement.
