We have participated in a number of implementations and we saw a reoccurring theme - central asset lists. Active Agenda uses separate modules to track management details associated with assets, but we hadn't centralized the assets on a single list - until now.

What is Active Agenda?

Active Agenda® is a community developed software application for operational risk management (OpRisk) . Active Agenda consists of more than eighty (80) integrated modules which help companies to manage and reduce risk and related costs. Active Agenda is an open source software development project.

Active Agenda consists of an OpRisk domain application AND a rapid application builder platform we call spec2app. Active Agenda was created to reduce workplace risk while empowering other domain professionals and niche developers to address their unique application needs.

The spec2app process utilizes a PHP generator to convert specifications written in XML to a functioning browser application atop a MySQL database. The application is highly modular and enables the customization and maintenance of the application using single XML module definitions to generate the database, search, screen layouts, charts, and support.

2008-04-21 Measurements PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 21 April 2008

We had some definite ideas about how to build the Measurements module. Fortunately, we didn't allow our ego to delay a Measurements module that people could use TODAY!

Our original idea for the Measurements module was to use data counts from two different modules to produce ratios (e.g. Avg. Claim Cost/Hazard Reported). Our ideas result from many years of frustrating metrics that have resulted in more severe losses (that's another story , and another, and...).

Our plans were not helping people in the trenches today. We were being asked for a simple module to track key performance metrics and share these results across a distributed network of facilities. Essentially, we were being asked for an ad hoc Measurements module, so we built it.

As soon as we push the module from the sample site to the demo (Embarassed), we will post a link. Until then, you are free to download the modules and begin tracking and sharing your results.
