Hello All,

We are preparing to conduct the module walk-through on the Asset Protection module. We would like to receive any/all feedback regarding desired functionality before we begin, so feel free to "let us have it."

Today, the functionality consists of associating inspection and audit criteria and instructions with records throughout the system (i.e. vehicles, locations, postings, etc.). All items can be viewed in a central view where filters can be used to generate checklists.

Our plans are to build a scheduling feature that will automatically generate future audit requirements based on last reviewed dates. The goal is to automate the item lists within established checklists to eliminate redundant inspections. We are also considering a new tab on the dashboard to display audit items/status based on the assigned person accountable - perhaps limiting the list to an established number of days before an item comes due (established in the user preferences area).

Yet another thought is to add fields to the Asset Protection module to flag items that require system inputs to be considered complete.

Please feel free to join the dialog and help us flush out the next stage of functionality.

Thanks for your participation...Dan

I'd like to see equipment inspections included in a similar way to what you describe. Having the checklists combined with the documentation of the event along with instructions and schedule are all fantastic ideas. This is excactly where it would be nice to scan a completed checklist document right in to AA without scanning and saving as pdf before uploading as an attachment.
With the scheduling/instructions piece, I'd ask for some sort of grid type of schedule where for one piece of equipment, you might have end-users/operators responsible for a brief inspection at the beginning of each shift, then a weekly user maintenance inspection, then a montly or quarterly check by facility maintenance staff, and an annual calibration by the OEM or an inspection agency. This would obviously have to be customizable.
In the healthcare world, equipment is all assigned a standardized Device Code by ECRI, and you could customize an inspection schedule and checklists by device code, and link the schedule to the equipment item via the Device Code.
