|
|
Hi,
I would like to translate only the basic set of modules (http://www.activeagenda.net/discussions/viewtopic.php?t=119). How do I extract the gettext from the code?
Cheers,

Hi JWach,
Have you seen this wiki article?
http://www.activeagenda.net/documentation/index.php?title=Translation
Mattias just modified the way we handle translations. He did this specifically so translations could be performed on a module-by-module basis. With 8,000+ phrases to translate, the task can be daunting.
As always, please let us know how we might improve the process/support...Dan |

Hi,
@ Thank for the hint. I have already seen this article.
@ I have downloaded the production version from Sourceforge and found only one big file. (~6,5 MB). There is also no directory active_agenda/lang/templates. Is this inside of this version (the wiki has been changed in May, sourforge files released in February).
Cheers,

Hi,
It's all out of date
I am looking for ways to transition that large catalog to many small ones (one .pot template catalog per module). Ideally the .po translations provided by translators could then be combined into a single .mo catalog (well, one per language).
I worked with the GNU gettext tools (xgettext and friends: http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/gettext.html) but didn't get it all working. Time to call for help on this one.
