Sunny Carney, a native Californian, currently resides in beautiful downtown Fallsburg, in the rolling hills of rural Ohio (estimated population: 103; even Wikipedia doesn't have a listing for this one), where she is focused on recovering from her great adventure in California's central valley.

She graduated from Denison University in Granville, OH in 1988, with a B.F.A. in Theater and a concentration in French. Before returning to school, she was actively involved in several areas of the performing arts, but strictly as an amateur (in the truest sense of the word) or semi-professional, having decided that she did not care to devote 20 years of her life to becoming an 'overnight success'. She studied and taught ballet in Fresno, CA and Columbus, OH for more than 20 years, taught acting and stage movement in Denver, and has acted in and directed many theatrical productions over the years.

Before leaving her job to return to California, Sunny worked for more than eleven years in aviation, primarily as a training and e-learning designer and developer, and a classroom instructor. In Denver, she was a geological technician for a major oil company and still might be if not for massive, world-wide layoffs. She is currently self-employed as a freelance writer, editor, and designer, and has finally completed the manuscript for her memoir, to be published by PleasantValleyPress.net in late 2009 or early 2010.

She moved back to central California in September 2006 and returned temporarily to Ohio in late November 2007, where she is currently setting up her print-on-demand publishing company, researching her next two books, and working with Dan on the development of a new Active Agenda user guide--all with the goal of returning to the West Coast as soon as possible. She says that of the bright spots while she was in Central California was the opportunity to meet Dan Zahlis, learn about ActiveAgenda and, hopefully, contribute to its future success. She will also collaborate with Dan on another project after the user guide is published. You can contact her at sunny@pleasantvalleypress.net.
